Teddy 14.2 bay gelding
If you want to find a pony to teach your child to show jump, Teddy is your man. He is a real show jumping schoolmaster, and just loves to jump. He has been on the Morpeth Hunt PC show jumping team for the last 2 years with Jenny and before that with his previous rider. Last year he had a double clear at Areas in the Novice class. He easily pops an 85 - 95cm course, and has won a 1.05m class at Todburn, with a double clear. He has also done some cross country (Kimmerston, Pallinsburn, Todburn). He has proved to be a brilliant hunting pony too, jumping everything he has been put to. He will hack out in company, but gets a bit spooky by himself. His dressage is rubbish, despite best efforts, as his going is too crooked, and at 17 this year, I don’t think this could be changed. However, despite this it does not affect his performances in other areas. He has joined in with all sorts at Pony Club including Camp, and has even done a bit of Games, much to his surprise!
He is a lovely chap, very easy to handle, very polite, loads and travels by himself quite happily. Jenny has well out grown him and is so obsessed with Games that she doesn’t have much spare time to work on him, and he really could do with some regular work to keep him young.
