Notes for the competition -

this years entry has been exceptional and to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience and we finish on time, there are a few issues we need to highlight.

 

Please ensure that you arrive on time for each of your disciplines. 

 

Shoot

Please ensure you arrive 30 mins before your shoot detail so that you can register, have  guns check and be briefed.  Any competitor arriving late for their detail will not be able to shoot as there are no spare slots. On completion of their shoot ,competitors should leave the hall as quickly as possible.

 

Run

Competitors start in number order and at 1 minute intervals.  Please make sure you are on time, as this makes the management and scoring of this event so much easier.

 

When competitors and parents return from the run, they must remove their shoes - no exceptions, what we don't need is half the muddy field inside the sports centre, making it harder for the staff to clean up and the organisers to get away on time and a potential bill from Bedale for additional cleaning.

 

Swimming

We have the pool from 13.00 to 15.30 hrs and have 160 competitors to swim, which is tight!!  All mini minimus should be changed, ready to swim and at the poolside for 13.00 hrs.  They will all warm up together and we ask that they swim one length and leave the pool.  

 

Please listen for the collector calling the competitors and please do not ask the lane judges to change your members lane or heat as this will cause problems with the scoring.

 

Presentation

It is always really nice for the presentation to include everyone, however, we will have to have two presentations.  One for Mini minis and minimus at approx 15.00hrs and another for Junior and Open at approx 15.30 hrs.

 

Finally, Bedale Leisure Centre have been incredibly accommodating over the years, however, they close at 16.00 hrs and we cannot over run!!  For this competition we have taken more entries than we have in the past and have had to turn away some competitors whose entry arrived late.  Because of the high entry we are pushing the timings to the limit and ask that you do everything you can to help us make the day run as smoothly as possible.
